Issue:
Cluster of 3 cottages at about 30 m from stream. Lawn and shrubs have been kept high as a good buffer zone. Man made wooden dam that created some kind of pond/wetland upstream with lots of sediments accumulating. Many aquatic plants present. Wood pallets and debris from dam are scattered on the stream banks downstream.
Action Required:
Clean up the debris downstream from the dam. The dam should be removed in order to let the water flow freely. Landowner education on the effects of man-made dams on a watercourse.
