Issue:
Camp on left bank with large opening on small tributary of North Branch Grants brook. Short cut grass up to the river bank. Old dam creating a man-made pond. Cement slabs as rip-rap on stream banks. Big hill on the right bank that is used for tubing during winter.
Action Required:
Landowner education on the importance of maintaining an adequate buffer zone on his property and the effects of a man-made pond on water quality. Restore the buffer zone by planting shrubs or by letting nature take its course by leaving a strip of untouched vegetation along the stream.
