Nigadoo River

Camping site and beach area

Eroded banks

Rock cliff

Nig 46

Wednesday. July 15, 2009

Large opening on waterfront. Well maintained for having picnics, camping and swimming. Some sand was hauled in to be spread out on waterfront. Vegetation cut very short close to the river.

Action Required:

Limit the addition of sand on the banks. It is relatively simple to restore a buffer zone because all you need to do is let nature take its course. The first step consists of simply not cutting the strip beside the water. Before long, natural vegetation will reclaim its rights and benefit your property. Shortly after that, shrubs and trees will take root.
