A man-made dam can be seen in photo A). The dam was dismantled (photo B) by the BVBC team and the owner responsible was made aware of the negative effects of a dam on water quality and aquatic fauna health. Abnormally high conductivity was also observed at the site. Conductivity indicates the ease of electrical circulation. Rivers can record conductivity values between 0 and 200 us/cm. The observed conductivity is 1218 which is too high for fresh water. The causes can be related to several different factors. Improper reading of the device, combined sewage spills, evaporation due to standing water and an increase in water temperature.
