Friday, July 24, 2009

Cottage near the brook with a man made pond in front. There are three man-made dams at this site. These dams can block the passage of fish. Also, these dams have contributed to the formation of a pond, which is considered a watercourse alteration. Lawn is cut short up to the brook. There is a camping site with tents on the right bank. The bottom of the pond is filled with sediments and aquatic plants are also present.

Action Required:

The rock dams should be removed in order to let fish migrate freely. Contain aquatic plants in the pond. Encourage the presence of a strip of vegetation along the banks of the watercourse.
